Live in Hackney? 13-19 years? Have a passion for media?
Come along to MTR Studio 23 on Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday and learn how to make a film! You can learn how to use camera equipment, sound equipment, basic-editing, lighting skills, acting and script writing...and everything you need to know about filming.
Perfect for budding film-makers!
- Wednesday Evening Editing workshops
- Thursday OEL Film Nights – every Thursday 5-8pm
- Saturday drop in Workshops – every Saturday 12-5pm
Wednesday technical workshop
Come and learn how to edit films on Final cut pro and other advanced software in the field. Also learn how to do Sound, camera, scripting, lighting, directing, acting and many more aspects of the film world.
When? Every Wednesday from 5-8pm
Saturday Drop-in Film Workshops
Saturday workshops run every week where you can learn about the different aspects of film-making. Topics include: script writing, music for film, production, lighting design, music videos and animation.
When? Every Saturday from 12-5pm
 
Thursday OEL Film Nights
Come and participate in the planning and the preparation of different episodes of Our Everyday Lives TV – A debate program for young people. Our
Everyday Lives TV produces current affairs, news style programme, where young people will talk about things that they care about. It is completely
designed, filmed and directed by young people.
Also come and watch a film on the big screen at MTR Studio 23. MTR runs weekly film screenings where you can access the studio facilities, watch
and review a range of feature films for free.
Refreshments available.

about Mouth That Roars
Mouth That Roars is an independent youth media organisation that was set up with the sole purpose of
training young people in film making, who wouldn’t ordinarily have access to media resources. Our projects
enable young people a space to be heard and a medium through which they can voice their thoughts and
feelings. Mouth That Roars is about giving access to young people and challenging stereotypes &
misconceptions surrounding children and young people’s lives.
