The Orphanage and Development Centre was established in 1983, by the Buddhist High Priest Ven. Dr. Hunupolagam Vajira Sri Thero, with thirty children who were victims of the prevailing ethnic civil war in the Northern part of the Island providing them with all their basic needs as well as their education. Now over 100 children live there some of which have lost their families in the devastating Tsunami of 2004.

At Mouth That Roars we always want to run more international projects but it is costly and our resources are limited. Donations, however small help us to reach young people and children globally. If you would like to donate to the ‘Our Everyday Lives International Programme’ please call us on 020 7729 2323 or email mouththatroars@btconnect.com. Please have a look at our ‘Donate’ page for more information. Thank you for your support.
